IFC, Sushiya to implement project to improve food safety system in chain …

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Sushiya LLC (Kyiv), developing an eponymous network of Japanese restaurants in Ukraine, plan in 2016 to implement a joint project to optimize and align with the international standards food safety systems in the chain restaurant, head of the network Roman Romanchuk has said.

“The aim of the project is to improve the Sushiya chain. We want to bring our quality control system to the next level… Entering this project, we hope that the example of Sushiya will set a trend in the restaurant industry,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv.

IFC Head in Ukraine Olena Voloshina, who also participated in the press conference, said that the project will become first for the IFC in the segment of restaurant business in Ukraine.

“Sushiya is the first client of the IFC in the HoReCa segment, it is pilot for us. The result of this project should be new food safety standards at Sushiya. We also hope that this will become an example for other companies in the industry,” the expert said.
