IEM VI Kyiv Day 1: A3.1 SK vs. Curse
Both teams went into their final game of the day with their spots in Hannover confirmed but their spots into the knockout stages still up for grabs with them both standing 1-1 in their group matches.
The match started with a bang, with SK Gaming advancing towards Team Curse ‘s blue, both teams collided and first blood went to Curse as SK’s Rammus went down instantly. 2 more deaths came from the encounter with 1 more going to Curse leaving the score at 2-1 in favour of Curse. Notably both kills went to Lee Sin meaning he could jungle at level 1 with a Madred’s.
After this however SK took hold, Riven was proving too powerful for the Gangplank of Curse in top lane and with a failed counter for Curse who sent Galio mid to counter the Kassadin but both champions were even in farm.
SK’s team-fighting prowess was key as they went from strength to strength with each full blown fight.
SK secured their place in the next round at Curse’s expense who are now eliminated from IEM Kyiv.
Group B of the tournament starts tomorrow where we will find out who will join SK in the playoffs.
