Ideye scores goal No.8
Nigeria international, Brown Ideye scored his eighth goal of the season, six in five Ukrianian Premier League starts as Dynamo Kyiv defeated 4-1 in Sunday’s home game against Volyn.
Ideye, who bagged a brace, and second in the campaign for the title in the 29th minute, put the White and Blue two goals up.
The Nigerian collected a through ball from Garmash and burst into the penalty to shoot the ball between the legs of the onrushing Volyn goalkeeper.
Ideye in the 90th minute then sealed the winner for his team as he tapped in a free ball in a goal mouth melee as Volyn defenders failed to clear their line.
Meanhile, the Nigerian has warned that the Champions League play-off tie against Borussia Mönchengladbach won’t be easy as his team won’t underrate the German top division side.
“None of the teams participating in the play-off round should be underestimated.”
“Good or bad fate, the answer to this question will only be after we have played the German team. As we seek to play in the Champions League group stage, we have to show our best in both games, only then would we achieve success,” Ideye said.
