IBRC gets more time on Kyiv centre firm
The High Court in Belfast has extended until January 26 an injunction preventing a company – which had acquired an interest in a shopping centre previously belonging to Seán Quinn’s family – from selling on that interest.
Irish Bank Resolution Corporation is seeking to take control of the shopping centre, which is based in Kyiv in Ukraine.
The bank is seeking to find out the identity of the owner of the company – Lyndhurst Development Trading SA – which is registered in the British Virgin Islands.
The centre had previously been owned by Quinn companies, but the former Anglo Irish Bank claims that loans which had been used to refinance the purchases were not repaid.
