iBet: Stoke face a Valencia side on form

Stoke v Valencia, Uefa Europa League, tonight 8.05pm

Lay Stoke at 2.1 to one with Betfair

Stoke have enjoyed a fine Europa League campaign. They were superb in the qualification stages and once they got into Group E, the fans enjoyed some great nights including wins over Beskitas and Tel Aviv and two draws with Dynamo Kyiv. There was no questioning how seriously manager Tony Pulis was taking the competition and indeed at times it was to the detriment of their Premier League form. Losses to Sunderland (0-4), Swansea (0-2), Arsenal (1-1) and Bolton (0-5) followed some of their European exertions. However, they have lost their last four in the league and play a Valencia side that’s third in La Liga, is buzzing from a 4-0 home win at the weekend and which has only lost two league games away from home all season. It will be a heady night at the Britannia Stadium, full of passion and atmosphere. Unfortunately I feel Stoke may not quite have enough to win the game on the night.

Advices

It’s very strange to see both Manchester clubs in the Europa League. They play away from home tonight with Manchester United (best price 10-11) taking on Ajax and Manchester City (best price 13-8) playing Porto. Neither game is a push over, but if you fancy them both to win, William Hill is the place to go where the double pays around 4-1.
