Hromadske.TV: Unknown Beat Journalists Hnap, Liubych In Mariinskyi Park In Kyiv
Hromadske.tv channel has reported in beating correspondent Dmytro Hnap and cameraman Yakiv Liubych by unknown at Mariinskyi Park in Kyiv, the channel said.
“Several people beat the members of ENG crew, broke camera and took the memory stick,” Hromadske.tv said.
According to the channel information, journalists shot a group of sporty people moving towards the Yevropeiska Ploscha Square.
Hnap also said that along with the journalists beaten were two militiamen as well.
“I am addressing Interior Affairs Minister Vitalii Zakharchenko. Your people are beaten near Mariinskyi Park,” Hnap said.
He said that there are about 4,000 people of physical type, who prevent the journalists from working by threatening with grabbing photo and video equipment.
