Have Arsenal completed a big transfer?

According to several sports news outlets, including German Bild, Arsenal have agreed a £22.8 million deal with Dynamo Kyiv for winger Andriy Yarmolenko.

The Gunners had been quiet during the current winter transfer window, only signing Mohamed Elneny from Basel. Still, it was reported Arsene Wenger had £70 million at his disposal to spend on a “sensational” transfer this transfer window.

Yarmolenko has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, with Everton been thought to be leading the way. Now, all of a sudden, Arsenal have caught the Toffees by surprise.

However, Arsenal won’t sign the 26-year-old now, but in the next summer.

Dynamo president Ihor Surkis is said to have reached an agreement with Yarmolenko. The Ukrainian giants want their star in the squad when they take on Manchester City in the Champions League.

Yarmolenko has been rated higly for years. The Ukrainian international has provided 13 goals and eight assists in 22 matches for Dynamo this season, while recently signing a contract extension until 2020. He has also been capped 55 times for the Ukraine national team, scoring 22 goals.
