General Confirms Demoralization of Ukrainian Troops

04 de diciembre de 2015, 14:03Kyiv, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) The desertion of Ukrainian General Oleksandr Tretiak to the militia confirms the underlying demoralization state among troops fighting to repress the Donbass population, a rebel source said today.

Tretiak managed to cross to the proclaimed PeopleâÖs Republic of Donetsk (PRD) and is willing to cooperate with the authorities in the region, which oppose KyivâÖs control, the press service from the insurgent State Security Minister reported.

The desertion of the general coincides with the beginning of criminal processes by the General AttorneyâÖs Office in Kyiv against 29 secret service officers of the government imposed after the coup in February 22nd, 2014, the Donetsk News Agency reported.

Meanwhile, the insurgent PeopleâÖs Republic of Lugansk (PRL) denounced the action of groups in the border line attacking both the positions of the Kyiv Army and the militia to incite provocations.

Rebel sources said there are several mobile commands of this type, which do not belong to the insurgency or the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
