Fighting the Russian invasion: What next for Ukraine?

The Kremlin’s opportunistic tactics to conquer and hold land in Ukraine has remained unchanged since Russian troops began their 2014 invasion. That is the opinion of Euan MacDonald, the editor of the English-language newspaper The Kyiv Post.

The journalist argues that the ceasefire has only been broadly observed since September this year despite the signing of the first Minsk peace accords 12 months earlier. He also argues in the worst-case bu unlikely scenario, the current blockade of Crimea could prompt more Russian intervention through its proxy forces in Donbas.
