VITEBSK, 6 February (BelTA) – An agreement on cooperation was signed between the Administration of FEZ Vitebsk and the Kyiv City Center for Investment and Development on 6 February, BelTA has learnt.
The document was inked by head of the FEZ Vitebsk Administration Sergei Stashevsky and Director of the Kyiv center Dmitry Borisov as part of the Investments. Innovations. Prospects international forum.
The agreement is aimed at the expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine. Under the document, the parties will develop bilateral relations in investment and commercial activity on mutually beneficial terms, provide assistance to companies in the implementation of projects on the territory of Belarus and Ukraine as well as in the search of foreign investors.
“The agreement will promote Belarus-Ukraine cooperation development, open new opportunities for an array of promising projects, including in the area of renewable energy resources,” Dmitry Borisov said at the signing ceremony.
On 6-7 February Vitebsk is hosting an international forum Investments. Innovations. Prospects. The forum is one of the largest events in the field of energy conservation in Belarus. The main objective of the forum is to present the investment potential of Vitebsk Oblast, to promote innovation projects and modern scientific developments, equipment, and technologies in such fields as construction, power engineering, energy conservation, automation, electronics, environmental protection, the use of renewable energy sources and automated systems of control and recording of energy resources. The forum has been organized by the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Vitebsk City Council, Vitebsk Oblast department for rational use of fuel and energy resources, and Vitebsk Oblast Marketing Center Consulting Company.
