Ex-mayor of Kyiv decides to became Georgian politician

Ex-Mayor of Kyiv Leonid Chernovetsky decided to became Georgian politician. He has already created a ‘Happy Georgia’ political party and promises to improve the lives of both government officials and ordinary people who, according to the politician, “live in abject poverty.”

He believes that it is much easier to change Georgia than Ukraine, “because many of the reforms were already carried out there”.

Leonid Chernovetsky is the Ukrainian politician, businessman and banker. He was elected a deputy to the parliament three times (1996, 1998 and 2002). From 2006 to 2012 he served as mayor of Kyiv, TASS reports.
