European Commission sends financial mission to Ukraine

A mission of experts from the European Commission is in Kyiv to work out financial aid for Ukraine, said Yevhen Perebyinis, Director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s Information Policy Department.
“A mission of EC experts is in Kyiv on March 4-6 regarding the allocation of the EC financial aid to Ukraine,” Perebyinis said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday. The mission’s visit is line with the European Union’s February 26 decision to allocate additional macro financial aid to Ukraine with the aim to stabilize the macroeconomic situation and to support its banking system, he said.
