Euro 2012 trophy attacked again by topless feminists
The incident took place in the Ukrainian city of Dnipropetrovsk, some 390 kilometres south-east of the capital Kyiv, local news agencies reported.
The Ukrainian political action group FEMEN identified the attackers as French journalist Emma Aels and longtime group member Inna Shevchenko.
The women removed their upper garments and knocked the trophy to the ground to protest, they said, the increase in sex tourism the Euro 2012 football tournament would bring to Ukraine.
The pair was arrested, charged with causing a public disturbance and released later, the Interfax news agency reported.
The FEMEN statement said Dnipropetrovsk police also arrested a female French photographer and a female Polish reporter, and confiscated their video and audio recording equipment.
Two FEMEN activists attacked the trophy and knocked it down on May 12 while on display in Kyiv. Each was subsequently fined the equivalent of 40 dollars.
