EURO 2012 Starts In Ukraine And Poland

The European Football Championship-2012 has started in Ukraine and Poland.

The official opening ceremony took place in Warsaw.

At 7:00 p.m. (Kyiv time) national teams of Poland and Greek will play a match in Poland, then at 9:45 p.m. (Kyiv time) Russia v Czech Republic.

On June 9 Netherlands will play against Denmark in Kharkiv and Germany v Portugal in Lviv.

On June 10 Poland will host a match between Spain and Italy and Ireland and Croatia.

On June 11 the national football team of Ukraine will play its first game in Kyiv against Sweden; France will compete against England in Donetsk.

On June 12 Greek v Czech Republic in Poland, and Russia v Poland.

On June 13 Lviv will host the match between Denmark and Portugal; Netherlands v Germany in Kharkiv.

On June 14 Italy will play against Croatia, Spain against Ireland in Poland.

On June 15 Ukraine v France in Donetsk, Sweden v England in Kyiv.

On June 16 Poland v Czech Republic; Russia v Greek in Poland.

On June 17 the match between Netherlands and Portugal will take place in Kharkiv; Germany will play against Denmark in Lviv.

On June 18 Croatia v Spain; Italy v Ireland in Poland.

On June Ukraine v England in Kyiv, France v Sweden in Donetsk.

Quarterfinals will be held on June 21 – 24, and semifinals on June 27 – 28 in Donetsk and Warsaw.

The championship final will take place in Kyiv on July 1.

According to bookmakers, the main favorites in the battle for the trophy are Spain, Germany, France and the Netherlands.

As Ukrainian News reported, Ukraine and Poland the won UEFA tender in March 2007 for hosting the European Football Championship-2012.
