Host cities of EURO 2012
Euro 2012 host cities

A total of eight cities, split evenly between Poland and Ukraine, will host the Euro 2012 Football Championships.

Poland will be represented by Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw, and Warsaw. Ukraine will be represented by Lviv, Doneck, Kharkiv, and Kyiv. Most of the stadiums are brand new and were built with Euro 2012 in mind, while the rest was refurbished as the latest sports betting news report.

Below, we’d like to present the capacities of each of the facilities:

Poland

  • Gdansk: 42,105 seats
  • Poznan: 43,269 seats
  • Wroclaw: 44,308 seats
  • Warsaw: 58,145 seats

Ukraine

  • Lviv: 34,195 seats
  • Doneck: 51,504 seats
  • Kharkiv: 38,613 seats
  • Kyiv: 70,050 seats

The new stadiums have been built using the latest technology and safety precautions.

In addition to football matches and drinking, the spectators will be able to tour the cities, many of which are quite beautiful and they offer many amenities.

It is worth remembering that while placing football bets on mobiles, the punters need to know the international roaming rates, and the rates in Ukraine can be much higher than in Poland as the eastern host is not a member of the European Union. Checking in and checking out of the airports there can also take longer in Ukraine.

One tip from the expert: before taking a taxi, ask how much it is (and in which currency!). Some drivers may negotiate. And some may seek to rip unaware guests off.
