EU to lift visa barrier for Ukraine and Georgia in 2016 – Die Welt
The European Union could lift the visa barrier for Ukraine and Georgia next year.
This is reported by Die Welt, citing a senior official in Brussels, DW reports.
“The visa-free regime for both countries will be available from mid-2016,” he said.
The reasons for this will be provided in the report by the European Commission to be presented on December 15, 2015.
According to the sources, Kyiv and Tbilisi have every reason to expect a positive response in the report.
However, as the DW reports, Kyiv should still achieve progress in some areas as the fight against corruption before spring 2016.
