EU Ambassador to Ukraine: Ukraine should not put off dealing with selective justice

EU Ambassador to Ukraine Ian Tombinski believes that the Ukrainian authorities should not put off dealing with selective justice.
“You all know that the matter of selective justice and the imprisonment of Yulia Tymoshenko is a stumbling block for signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU,” Tombinski said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, reminding that the Eastern Partnership Summit would be held in November and that the issue of selective justice “cannot be put off until later”. “It is wrong to wait until the last moment to settle such a sensitive matter… The solution to this issue is in the hands of the Ukrainian authorities, not the EU,” Tombinski said.
