Midfielder Jeremain Lens insists he is not interested in leaving Sunderland despite speculation linking him with a move to Ajax.
Both Ajax and Roma have shown an interest in the former Dynamo Kyiv star who has struggled to impress on Wearside since moving to the north-east in the summer.
He was signed for £8million by Dick Advocaat but the Holland international has struggled to force his way into Sam Allardyce’s side.
The 28-year-old has been linked with the exit door in the January transfer window but he insists a move away is not on his mind.
He told the Sunderland Echo: “I never spoke about leaving. It’s the media and all the things around me. We will see what happens. I’m a Sunderland player and I’m focused on Sunderland.
“I’m happy that I’m playing, but I wasn’t with the result at Spurs. Let’s hope I’m playing in the next game and we can get a good result.”
