Emerging Reports – Manchester United Will Complete First January Signing In …

This is a pretty big claim from Mediaset…

Although frequent reports have connected Manchester United with a January move for Napoli star Felipe Anderson, Louis van Gaal recently claimed that he did not foresee any transfer activity by his side in the winter window.

Tonight, it seems those suggestions will turn out to be false as Italian website Mediaset have dropped a serious story claiming that United are set to complete a deal for Dynamo Kyiv defender Aleksandar Dragovic in the “coming hours”.

Although United have performed well in defence this year, many feel that their more open attacking performance against Newcastle highlighted their frailty at the back and perhaps gave some insight into why Van Gaal has generally taken such a cautious approach to games this season.

At just 24 years of age, Aleksandar Dragovic is very highly rated and already has a number of international caps for Austria having gained his first senior cap as an 18-year-old.

Although the defender’s current contract will keep him at Kyiv until 2018, Mediaset claim that a fee of 21 million euros has now been agreed and that a deal that will take him to Old Trafford will be completed today.
