Dynamo Kyiv ordered to play three games behind closed doors for

The incident is punishment for Dynamo fans having attacked at least eight rival supporters in a home section of the Olympic Stadium during a game against Chelsea in October.

UEFA said the sanctions were handed down for racist behaviour, crowd disturbances and blocked stairways during the match on October 20, which ended 0-0 at the Olympiyskiy Stadium.

The club has also been fined €100,000, with an closed-doors order for a third match suspended for three years and only applied if further offences are committed.

Dynamo Kyiv have been fined and ordered to play two UEFA home matches behind closed doors, with a third suspended, following a series of rules breaches in the Champions League game against Chelsea last month.

The ban means that Dynamo’s vital Champions League clash with Maccabi Tel Aviv in two weeks’ time will be played in an empty stadium.

In a group as tightly contested as this one both Porto and Dynamo Kyiv know that a win will be crucial for their chances of progressing to the knockout stages of this year’s Champions League.

Last season, Uefa ordered Kyiv close part of their ground following a pitch invasion by supporters during a Europa League match against French club Guingamp in February.
