Dynamo Kyiv ordered to play three games behind closed doors for

UEFA has ordered Dynamo Kyiv to play their next three European home games in an empty stadium as punishment for offences including racist behaviour by fans during the Champions League match against Chelsea last month.

A video released after the 0-0 draw on 20 October documented four black men being attacked by Kyiv fans, with a group of white men seen trying to punch and kick them as they fled the stands at the Olympic Stadium.

The third match is suspended for a probationary period of three years, UEFA said.

The Ukrainian champions were also fined 100,000 euros ($105,900.00) for the incidents in the Champions League Group G game by UEFA’s disciplinary panel.

Sergei Rebrov’s side will be without the support of their home fans as Dynamo Kyiv seek a place in the Champions League round of 16.

The Portuguese side needed only to avoid defeat against Dynamo to qualify for the knock-out stages, but Yarmolenko’s first-half penalty and Gonzalez’s clinical second-half effort forced them to put any celebrations on hold.

Last season, UEFA sanctioned Kyiv with a partial closure of the stadium following a pitch invasion by supporters during a Europa League Round of 32 second leg match against French club Guingamp in February.

Porto and Chelsea are level on 10 points at the top of the group, with Dynamo two points behind in third.
