Dynamo Kyiv Manager Speaks On Dragovic To Man United Rumours
While largely dismissing the defender’s chances of joining Man United, Sergei Rebrov did acknowledge that a decent offer could lead to a negotiation.
Multiple stories claimed this week that Man United were set to complete a deal for Dynamo Kyiv defender Aleksandar Dragovic.
With their defence ravaged by injury, including lengthy spells spanning months for Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw, it seemed like a logical move for the Red Devils.
The transfer of the Austria international hasn’t come through for Louis van Gaal yet, and now his Kyiv counterpart, former Spurs and West Ham striker Serhei Rebrov, is putting a dampener on proceedings.
Speaking to Ukrainian website football.ua, Rebrov was asked about the future of the man valued at around €21m.
“Is Dragovic going to Manchester United? I doubt Dragovic reads those stories or that he gives any meaning to all that is written about him”, he said.

Rebrov did issue a caveat; saying that negotiations with club President Ihor Surkis can go ahead if an acceptable offer is made.
I am glad that there are players who primarily want to achieve some goals, and only then, if you have decent offers, will they sit down negotiations with the president.
The onus is on Man United to stump up the fee if they want to secure the 24-year-old. He is indeed available, but will come at a cost.
