KYIV, January 5. /TASS/. Text of speeches of Russian avant-garde painter Kazimir Malevich dated 1920s-1930s were found in Kyiv in the home archive of his assistant Marian Kropivnitsky, researcher of the painter’s workpieces Tatiana Filevskaya told Ukraine’s Obschestvennoe Radio station on Tuesday.
Discovered texts comprise protocols of Malevich’s speeches regarding the development of an experimental arts cabinet in Kyiv Institute of Arts and considerations regarding education of painters and creation of a new arts academy. “Four out of five texts were never published earlier and are scheduled to be published in February 2016 for the Malevich in Kyiv conference,” Filevskaya said.
Kazimir Malevich was a Russian painter and art theoretician born in Kyiv. He was a pioneer of geometric abstract art and the originator of the avant-garde Suprematist movement.
