The Defence Ministry has called to army some 2,000 persons subject to draft and volunteers in Kyiv during the third wave of limited mobilisation, reads a statement made by the agency’s press service, referring to chief enlistment officer of the Kyiv City Military Commissariat Volodymyr Kidon.
“Following the third stage of mobilisational deployment the city of Kyiv has completed the task 96% today… In general this is almost 2,000 mobilised servicemen, including selected volunteers,” he said.
As to Kidon, they were not able to fill the order 100% over lack of critical skill specialists, and namely artillerists and armour crewmen.
So far, military commissariats almost completed handover of personnel and equipment to the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other formations.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Kidon said the Defence Ministry was about to draft 700 people in Kyiv to military service in during the third wave of limited mobilisation.
