Crimea is not interested in Kyiv’s approval over referendum – PM Aksyonov
Responding to a question as to how the threats made by Kyiv not to recognize the referendum should be treated, Aksyonov said an interview with Kryminform: “The people came there, appointed themselves, threw all police and prosecutors out, drove away the mayors of the cities, and are trying to demand something from us.”
“The Verkhovna Rada did not give a legitimate evaluation of these actions. If they said: we have overcome corruption, we are inviting Russians to public organizations, we are disarming armed units, holding legitimate elections, are resolving all issues with the Russian language to give it at least official status, if not state status, there would be no actions in response by us.
Instead of that, we only hear threats against us,” Aksyonov said.
