Craft Beer of the Week: Megamix Pale Ale from MIA Brewing Co. in Doral.
Story: I love seeing MIA’s brews on draft at more of my favorite restaurants and pubs around town. I also love that the brewery and tasting room are less than a mile down the road from Miami.com’s offices in Doral. The beer I keep going back to here is Megamix, a juicy pale ale that’s hopped with Galaxy, Mosaic and Citra hops for a big tropical-citrus aroma and cleanly bitter finish. At 6 percent alcohol by volume, it’s easy to have a second.
Pairing: Megamix’s earthy, piney notes work extremely well with the Chicken Kyiv ($22) and its mushrooms, garlic butter and celeriac at British gastropub The Seven Dials, 2030 S. Douglas Rd., Coral Gables.
Price: A draft pour of Megamix is $6 at MIA Brewing Co., 10400 NW 33rd St., Doral.
