Court Arrests 9 Suspects Of Mass Disorders For 2 Months

The Kyiv Shevchenkivskyi District Court has arrested nine EuroMaidan activists for two months for mass disorders, the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association has said.

Arrested are Oleksandr Nahrebelnyi, Oleh Pustovit, Andrii Babin, Ivan Kryl, Ivan Nikolaev, Vasyl Bilous, Hryhorii Shevchuk, Serhii Makar and Volodymyr Bratakha.

The report said that the cases are on control of voluntary attorneys from the National Rebellion Headquarters.

The lawyers plan to appeal against all the cases.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the ruling authorities and opposition have agreed on armistice to find peaceful solution for the crisis.

On February 18, clashes between anti-government protesters and militia started in Mariinskyi Park and later spread for the whole territory of the Kyiv city center.

At about 21:00, February 18, militia started dispersal of EuroMaidan activists on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, however, after some time in clashes, the activists managed to protect their positions.
