Court Adjourns Hearing In Volha Case Until January 27
Kyiv Shevchenkivskyi District Court has adjourned a hearing in the criminal case against Vasyl Volha, former head of the State Commission for Regulation of Financial Service Markets, until January 27, the defense attorney, Yevhen Solodko, told Ukrainian News.
The public prosecutor was reading the indictment at the hearing on January 20.
The attorney expects the follow-up court session will complete announcing the indictment, and the court will pass on to the trial investigation.
According to Solodko, a list of witnesses made by the public prosecution, includes 29 people.
The next hearing began at 10:00 a.m.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Volha is prosecuted for accepting USD 0.5 million in bribes under part 2 Article 15, part 3 Article 368 (attempt to accept bribe), and part 3 Article 191 (assignment, waste of property or mastering by it {him} by abusing the official position) of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine.
