CORRECTED: Poroshenko Names Kosiuk First Deputy Chief Of President’s Staff

(Corrects the story in the party of dismissal of First Deputy Chief of the President’s Staff Hennadii Zubko)

President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Yurii Kosiuk as First Deputy Chief of the President’s Staff, reads decree No.559 of July 3.

Kosiuk, 46, was born in urban settlement Katerynopil, Cherkasy Region.

In 1985 he enrolled in the Kyiv Institute of Food Industry but was drafted on military conscription and graduated in 1992.

In 1991 Kosiuk became a broker at the Kyiv Commodity Exchange, and in 1992 co-founded a joint venture LKB, engaged in importation of metal, grain and gas.

From 1995 to 1998 he was president at the closed joint-stock company Research and Technology Business Centre of Food Industry, which in 1998 reorganised into the open joint-stock company Mironivsky Hliboproduct (MHP; Kyiv), the first Ukrainian agro-industrial company listed on the London Stock Exchange.

MHP produces poultry meat under the Nasha Riaba trademark, semi-finished meat products under the Lehko trademark, beef delicacies under the Certificated Angus trademark, and goose liver delicacy under the Foie Gras trademark.

Kosiuk is also president of the association Union of Ukraine’s Poultry Farmers.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on June 10 Poroshenko appointed Hennadii Zubko as First Deputy Chief of the President’s Staff.
