MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces shelled the positions of the people’s militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) near the Krasny Liman settlement, LPR people’s militia headquarters deputy commander Igor Yaschenko said on Tuesday.
The defense ministers of Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland signed the joint statement on cooperation in Kyiv.
The site, which was opened in 2012, is the fourth cemetery connected with the WWII Katyn Crime, in which over 22,000 Poles – largely reserve officers – were killed in mass executions at various points across the Soviet Union, including the Katyn Forest near Smolensk (today western Russia).
