Wizz Air, Hungary’s low-cost, low-fare airline, has announced two new routes from Budapest Airport to Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine and Tel Aviv in Israel.  The new flights, operated by Wizz Air’s Airbus A320 aircraft, increase the number of Wizz Air routes offered from Budapest Airport to 31.

Jost Lammers, CEO of Budapest Airport said: “We are delighted that the operating rights to serve these destinations have finally been issued after seven months by the CAA. More importantly, Wizz Air will provide new low-fares on the Kyiv and Tel Aviv routes, which will appeal to leisure and business travellers alike where we know there is much needed extra capacity assuring an immediate success for Wizz Air.”

József Váradi, CEO of Wizz Air, said: “Wizz Air is delighted to launch low-fare Budapest routes to Kyiv and Tel Aviv. We expect our low fares to generate more tourism by attracting passengers keen to high fare airlines. We also expect to stimulate business travel for cost conscious start-ups and entrepreneurs.
