Roads treacherous

The Republic Main Traffic Police Department has warned drivers and pedestrians to take care because of the bad weather across the country.

A department spokesman told APA that the Baku-Guba-Gusar and Mugan-Ismayilli highways and the Agsu Pass were affected by ice but remained open.

Drivers are recommended to use snow tyres and four-wheel drive vehicles.

The department said that one person died and 22 were injured in road accidents on Sunday. The fatal accident occurred in Kurdamir District when a Hyundai car overturned.
