A Kyiv-based AeroSvit airline plane with 155 passengers on board, whose flight from Dubai to Kyiv was delayed by nine hours on Tuesday, arrived at Boryspil Airport, Kyiv, at 2013 on May 15, 2012.
As the company’s press service said, 11 transit passengers were accommodated at a hotel at the airline’s expense and continued their trip to Simferopol, Odesa (both Ukraine), Minsk (Belarus), Warsaw (Poland), and Kaliningrad (Russia) on May 16.
The airline apologized for the delay to the flight.
AeroSvit’s press service also reported that it was preparing documents to break an agreement with its counteragent at the airport of Dubai (the UAE), which refused to prepare the airline’s plane for departure for Kyiv, as well as to service passengers (catering, hotel accommodation) despite a long delay in the departure of the plane.
The company will also fire the employee who was responsible for providing financial support for the Kyiv-Dubai-Kyiv flights, while the passengers of that flight will receive compensation packages. To do this they need to contact the airline’s customer care office.
AeroSvit’s Dubai-Kyiv on Tuesday departed with a nine-hour delay at 1607 local time (1507 Kyiv time).
The company said that the delay was connected with unexpected problems in relations with the agency that coordinated the servicing of the airline’s flights at the airport of Dubai.
