Activists March in Moscow in Defense of Russia
21 de febrero de 2015, 12:15Moscow, Feb 21 (Prensa Latina) The so-called Anti-Maidan brought together more than 30,000 people on Saturday in this capital, after a year of the events in Ukraine that led President Viktor Yanukovich to resign.
Organized by the social movement Anti-Maidan, as an antithesis of the opposition protests in Kyiv, the initiative generated a wave of followers from all over the country under the slogan “A year after Maidan, we don’t forget, we don’t forgive”, in rejection of similar events may occur in Russia.
Some 35,000 demonstrators, according to police estimates, marched along downtown avenues of Moscow, from Petrovka Street to Revolution Square.
Other sources estimated the participation of more than 40,000 people. The organizers said that the number of participants might increase as more activists rallied in the square opposite the Bolshoi Theater.
