UKRAINE The Alta Center shopping centre on Moskovs’kyi Ave in Kyiv will soon be closing down, according to Ukrainian web portal Retail Community.

The tenants have received official letters from the shopping centre manager informing that the closing date will be February 15th and asking them to leave their premises by the end of this month. According to market sources quoted by the portal, the centre’s low revenues are the main reason behind this decision. The Alta Centre, which was opened in 2004, comprises 22,044 sqm and is owned by VK Development. The tenants include A rgo Center, Brocard, Sportmaster, Dempy, Ostin, Lacoste Outlet, Fashion Outlet and Brocard. (Source: ‘Retail Community’)
