By 19:40 about 20,000 protesters had rallied for European integration in Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) in Kyiv.

At 19:30 the convoy of 10 cars with the EU flags moved from Instytutska Street to Khreschatyk Street and headed honking to the European Square.

As Khreschatyk Street is blocked, a great number of protesters moved to the roadway.

Public leaders and student activists are addressing the rally from the stage, notably, Yurii Lutsenko voiced his short-term action plan for the opposition.

The protesters are singing the anthem of Ukraine and chanting “Shame!”.

There aren’t many policemen in Maidan Nezalezhnosti; they are preventing the protesters from going to the roadway.

About ten buses of Berkut special unit officers are waiting in Horodetskyi Street.

No incidents had been reported.

As Ukrainian News reported, the opposition parties (the All-Ukrainian Union Batkivschyna Party, the All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda Party and Vitalii Klitschko’s Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform (UDAR)) will demand to call early presidential election.
